Playing At Learning Programs
Playing At Learning has partnered with FIRST for these programs:
- FIRST LEGO League - Northern California FIRST LEGO League Program
- FIRST Lego League (FLL) is
the result of a partnership between FIRST
and the LEGO Company. FLL extends
the FIRST concept of inspiring and celebrating science and technolog
to children aged 9 through 14, using real-world context and hands-on
experimentation.
FIRST LEGO League Clubs
We passionately believe that having a community-based or school-based "club" is the way to keep FLL teams sustainable in a particular area. Playing@Learning is active with FLL Clubs at Chadbourne Elementary School, and Hopkins Junior High School in the Mission San Jose attendance area in Fremont, California. If you are interested in understanding what is involved to getting a club setup - just ask!
FIRST Tech Challenge - Northern California FIRST Tech Challenge Program
FIRST Tech Challenge extends the partnership between FIRST and the LEGO Company with a primarily high school program using the LEGO NXT Controller paired with more sophisticated sensors, more powerful gears, motors and structural elements along with a more challenging game play.

Summer Camps - Playing@Learning typically has partnered with Fremont Parks&Rec and Ohlone for Kids to offer LEGO Mindstorms robotics summer camps.
